Produce a Showcase

Artist showcases at APAP|NYC are a top reason presenters come to the conference! By showcasing, you have the potential of reaching an audience of nearly 600 presenting organizations, more than 3,600 presenting professionals and 250 artist companies from around the world at APAP|NYC. Showcases are what make APAP|NYC an exciting, global, live performance celebration and a good way to build your business.

 
 

Get Started

Showcases are self-produced by APAP members in venues all across NYC. APAP, itself, does not produce, curate or jury any showcases. For more information, please see the Complete Guide to Independent Showcasing

Purchase a Showcase Listing

Log in to purchase a showcase listing. Purchasing a showcase listing is the easiest way to promote your performance. You must be a fully registered conference attendee to purchase a showcase listing.

A $70 showcase listing appears in the following places:

  • APAP|NYC Showcase Listing Guide (if purchased before 5 p.m. (EST), Thursday, November 19, 2015)
  • APAP|NYC 2016 mobile app
  • Searchable database online at apapnyc.org

Finding a Venue

Showcase producers are responsible for coordinating performance times and logistics directly with the venue. Remember: Showcases are self-produced by APAP members and APAP, itself, does not produce, curate or jury any showcases. To get started, browse a list of local NYC venues. To inquire about showcasing at the New York Hilton Midtown, the APAP|NYC conference HQ, contact Robert Baird, APAP's showcase liaison, at robert@bairdartists.com.

Scheduling a Showcase

APAP|NYC 2016 opens on Friday, January 15. The most popular dates for showcasing are Saturday and Sunday evenings during the conference when the greatest number of attendees is in New York. These days, therefore, are also the most competitive because there are so many showcase choices for presenters to attend. Many showcases are repeated to offer presenters and other conference attendees multiple opportunities to see an artist's work.

It's no question that showcases and the EXPO Hall are the two most prominent reasons presenters from around the world attend APAP|NYC. Many exhibitors and showcase producers try NOT to schedule showcases during EXPO Hall hours.
